Did you ever wonder how many ways there are to reach out with the love of Christ? It seems like every week we discover a new way to meet people where they are with help for their spiritual and physical needs.
Gary is working on 2 new opportunities for reaching out in our community. One new program is called Open Table. The idea of this program is for a church to adopt a homeless family and work with them to find housing, jobs, and get other services they need, all the while sharing the Gospel and Christ’s love. Gary has begun meeting with groups in our church, encouraging them to consider what part they can play in helping a homeless family come to know Christ.
Another opportunity that we are considering would be working in partnership with Phoenix Gospel Rescue Mission to reach out to the elderly and shut-ins in our community with friendly visits to share the Gospel, check on the well being of the person, and deliver food boxes.
There are so many needs and so many good opportunities to reach out. Please pray with us for wisdom to know the areas we should pursue.
