Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow. We have so many blessings to praise the Lord for.

Yesterday was another Project Homeless Connect Event, this time in a church in Phoenix. The event served 150 homeless clients and once again we saw the Lord at work. This church is located in a neighborhood where the Police Department has been working for years to take it back from the gangs. They've identified it as a "Fight Back" neighborhood. The police are regular partners in the community and routinely show up at community events. Representatives from Basic Missions, a Christian outreach mission that goes on to the streets at night to find and minister spiritually to homeless, were at the church. During the day a police officer stopped by and a representative from the mission shared the Gospel with the officer and he prayed to receive Christ.

Yesterday at the event, people were fed, received new clothing, had the opportunity for showers and free haircuts. They were able to make contact with service providers for housing, medical attention, and other needs. It is important that we reach out to help the homeless with their physical needs. But we are always mindful of their spiritual needs and are blessed to be partnering with churches and organizations like Basic Missions to reach those in need with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We also praise the Lord for how He is working in the Native Ministry. Last week's meetings at Kayenta Bible Church were great. The board of Flagstaff Mission to the Navajo made good progress in planning for the future and the 45th anniversary celebration of the church brought together a large group of Navajo believers, all praising the Lord for His goodness. What a blessing to see God at work in the Navajo churches.

We also praise the Lord for the way He so faithfully continues to meet our financial needs for this ministry. In just the last 2 weeks we have been blessed to hear of some new support. One of our long time supporting churches notified us that they will be increasing our support. Another church who has partnered with us in prayer for over 10 years has voted to take us on for financial support. An individual supporter has notified us that they are increasing their monthly commitment and 3 individuals sent us special one-time gifts to help with the ministry. In this difficult economy we have seen some of our support drop off. So to have these new gifts has come as such a wonderful blessing!
