Homeless Connect Follow-Up

Here are some statistics from the February 12th Project Homeless Connect Event:
* 68 homeless people were served - 40 men, 23 women, and 5 children
* 2 pets got needed vaccinations
* 1 bike was rebuilt
* 10 poeple got ID's which will allow them to obtain additional services
* A family with a 1 month old got housing
* 5 people got medical care
* 7 people got haircuts
* 39 service providers came to assist the homeless
* 200 volunteers showed the love of Christ to the needy of our community.

There's rarely a day that goes by that we don't hear from someone concerning the needs of the homeless in our area and ways that we can reach out to these hurting people. The one day event led to many other opportunities. We'd appreciate your prayers for wisdom in expanding the homeless ministry.

Important Dates:

Week of March 9th - Meetings with other area churches and individuals concerning hosting additional events for the homeless.

March 20-21 - Gary will be attending Flagstaff Mission to the Navajo board meetings at Kayenta, AZ, on the Navajo reservation.

March 24 - Gary will be assisting a Phoenix church with their Project Homeless Connect Event
